Our History

Connolly Scaffolding Ltd was established in 2002 and we are very excited to enter our 20th year of business

Beginning

Connolly Scaffolding Ltd was established in 2002 and we have continued to grow year on year by reinvesting our profits back into the company.

Today

Today at Connolly Scaffolding, we continue to expand our ever growing portfolio of award winning projects, ensuring repeat client engagement.

Future

We are committed to further company development and growth through reinvestment, training and practicing our core social values.

From The Beginning...

Connolly Scaffolding was born in May 2002, working out of a yard in Stockport with just two scaffolders and a wagon.

Our first client commissioned us to provide scaffolding to a school for re-roofing works in Rochdale. The project was £3,000, which was the start of a reasonably successful first year where our turnover was in the region of £280,000.

In the early years when we recruited new scaffolders, the majority of our new employees held no formal qualifications in scaffolding.

It is a source of great pride then, that our entire scaffolding team became fully qualified.

Investment

Over the past 5 years over £5 million has been reinvested into the company for specialist System Scaffold equipment employee training and improvement of the Company's fleet of vehicles.

Now, the combined group business turnover exceeds £7 million and currently employs over 100 people all contributing and providing an excellent service.

We have built from the ground up by investing in young, local talent hungry for employment and ready to work hard to gain the right qualifications. Allowing employees to grow with our company is the backbone of our ethos.

Fleet

Since 2018 we have updated our fleet by upgrading 8 of our wagons to Mercedes Ategos, which also includes a Mercedes Hiab and DAF Roll on Roll off.

We are continuing to expand our electric fleet of vehicles to reduce our environmental impact and we have recently introduced a mini bus into our fleet, facilitating the reduction of individual journeys our employees take to site.

Our location in Lyn Town trading estate in Eccles offers easy access to Manchester and the wider motorway network via the M60 and M62. Our large 17,000 square foot unit has provided us with the capacity to invest further in both tube and fitting and Plattec scaffold.

Future

Success brings change. As we look forward to the next 20 years of growth for Connolly Scaffolding, we imagine what we will become such is our growth and development over the previous 20 years.

We cannot rely on "what got us to where we are, to get us to where we want to be" as if we sit still, we stagnate and the opportunity for further growth and success will pass us by.

The next chapter in Connolly Scaffolding's story will be just as interesting as the previous 20 years, as growth itself brings the need to adapt to new circumstances.
